No Time To Die - Non Spoiler Review

James Bond's latest outing is a boring, drawn out mess and probably the worst Bond film of all time.

I was thoroughly excited to return to the cinema and was so ready for another 007 extravaganza but I haven't come out of a movie showing this disappointed since Star Wars The Last Jedi.

Wow, this was not what I expected.

The trailer did a great job to peak my interest, the visuals looked fantastic, scenery beautiful, some proper action and even new and interesting characters like Ana De Armas and Rami Malik.

I couldn't wait.

The film started off where the last one finished covering the blossoming relationship between Bond and Lea Seydoux's Madeline.

Time for those famous intro credits! Billie Eilish's song was quite frankly terrible and so was the opening encore. It seems that these intro's have been completely watered down now and done so as not to offend anyone should they accidentally witness a breast or two.

Something felt off right away, the dialogue and pace seemed as if the movie was missing a director, the music was all over the place and it felt like a movie made by some high school students doing a film project.

I tried to look past this anyway and welcomed the car chases, action and excitement that followed.

We were then introduced to Ana De Armas' character in Cuba and I have to say she was the star of the film, it was a real shame she didn't get more screen time as her scenes with Bond were easily the best part of the movie.

Bond's new double O counterpart Lashana Lynch was dreadfully bland and inconsequential. If this character was meant to bring some exciting diversity to the film I couldn't find it as she was entirely forgettable.

Rami Malik as Safin was probably the worst bond villain I've ever seen. Some of his choices and actions towards the end of the movie left me guessing at what he was trying to achieve and it seems that even he forgot towards the end of the movie.

Then there was the ending.

Well all I can say is that if the intention was to kill off everything good about James Bond then they really succeeded there.

Bond is now a shadow of his former self and the franchise is pretty much dead.

Personally I'll be quite glad to see the end of Daniel Craig as I never really thought he made a good James Bond. In his final outing however, even he will be disappointed with it.

James Bond needs a fresh start, the writers and director need sacking and it'll be some time before we return to the glory days of what was once was a very exciting franchise.

No Time to Die is complete and utter garbage.
